Visitors to Algeria must obtain a visa from one of the Algerian diplomatic missions, unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Algeria.

Visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed with 
India[6] and 
Azerbaijan, but have yet to be ratified.
e-Visa
In February 2020, the Government of Algeria announced a plan to introduce e-Visa in the future.[7]
Entry restrictions
Syria
Nationals of 
Syria are specifically required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay in Algeria. Nationals of Syria must hold at least 1000€ if they have an Algerian sponsor, and at least €4000 if they do not.[2]
Israel
Entry and transit is refused to 
Israel nationals, even if not leaving the aircraft and proceeding by the same flight.[2]
